Where is Shaper hosted?
We provide a dedicated, isolated server for you by default. However, if your company requires Shaper to run within your existing AWS, GCP, or Azure VPC, we can also manage the deployment in your infrastructure.
How long does it take to get started?
Once you sign up, we usually have your dedicated Shaper instance ready for you within 24 hours. From there, you can immediately start connecting your data and building dashboards.
Can I still run Shaper myself?
Yes! Shaper is fully open-source. Our paid plans are for teams that want professional hosting, operational security, and expert data engineering support so they don't have to manage the technical details themselves.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. We offer monthly and yearly billing. You can cancel at any time, and since there is no vendor lock-in, you can take your server and configuration with you.
Does Taleshape need access to my data?
No. We manage the Shaper application and the server it runs on, but we do not require access to your underlying data. Your data stays within your isolated instance.
What happens if I cancel my plan?
You can continue using Shaper without any service interruptions. The existing setup is all yours. You will simply take over the monitoring and maintenance of the server yourself.
