Where is Shaper hosted?
We run Shaper for you in your infrastructure. You simply give us access to a server, VM or container environment to run Shaper on. If you don't have an existing infrastructure provider, just let us know and we can help you find the right hosting option for you.
What system requirements does Shaper have?
Shaper supports any infrastructure provider that supports Linux or Docker. The required system specs are minimal and depend on how much data you intend to process using Shaper. Since you provide the infrastructure, you can always scale it up or down as needed.
What's the difference between open-source Shaper and the paid plans?
All functionality is open source. We simply setup and operate Shaper for you - and assist with expertise as needed.
What happens when canceling the paid plan?
You can continue using Shaper without any service interruptions. The existing setup is all yours. You will need to setup your own monitoring and maintain the setup yourself going forward. For support you will need to consult the open-source community resources.
Why is there no Shaper Cloud?
We do not want your data. We believe your data should always stay in your control.
What's the SLA for support requests and incident handling?
We have an SLA of 24h, but often you get a response within minutes. Especially when urgent.
Does Taleshape need access to the data processed with Shaper?
No, we can deploy and manage Shaper without having direct infrastructure access. We also do not require a login to the Shaper UI.
